Winter style is upon us. It’s not super cold outside today and I am ecstatic. The sun’s shining and the wind is barely blowing if not at all. This is my kind of weather. However, I’m still doing the long sleeve thing for now because I’m not necessarily all the way in the clear. Texas weather is just so bipolar! I like to transition my wardrobe for the winter season by throwing in a few jackets, long pants, or long sleeved tops (winter style) into what I have on each day. I like the idea of protecting at least one part of my body from whatever winds may be blowing that day. If you haven’t guessed I hate being cold. It just makes me so uncomfortable and rigid. As that Snicker commercial coins, I’m not myself when I’m cold.
I love these stripped pants because they’re the perfect add onto my winter style. They are light enough in material that I never get overly warm. They catch the breeze, but give me the coverage that I need around my legs. It also really helps that I’m obsessed with stripes. Okay, so I’ll be honest. When I was younger I had this thing for Polka Dots. All my clothes had to have some detailing of polka dots somewhere kind of obsessed. I was so amazed by the idea that so many circles big or small could be placed on all kids of clothes. Don’t ask me why, I was in elementary school. One day my obsession became a strong dislike because at the age of 14, I realized how impractical polka dots were. I know this all sounds so ridiculous, but I so serious. There began my obsession with a new print: stripes. I like incorporating stripes (especially vertical stripes) into my winter style because it elongates the area that they are placed on. If I’m wearing stripes, they are on my legs or my torso because that’s usually what I’m attempting to elongate.
