WINTER STRIPES

I am wiped. Through and through. Let’s just say this week kicked my ass… and not gently either. There was way too much for me to do this week in such little time and in the coming week, there’s still more to be done. So guys Friday couldn’t have come soon enough. Although I’m working a double today, I’m just glad the end of the official work week is here.

The idea of stepping outside of my warm cozy bed each day gives me the shits…

I meaaaaan not entirely, but just a little bit. Winter is quickly creeping its way into the forecast with low temps starting at 45- degrees wtf to highs no higher than 55-60 degrees (or at least it freaking feels like that).

I say creeping because the first official day of winter and all that winter solstice northern hemisphere stuff, isn’t till December 21st. OFFICIALLY.

For awhile, I was bs’ing myself because Texas weather is so irrational and unstable BUT there’s no mistaking its consistency recently. Babes, it’s cooooooold (as hell might I add) outside, especially at night.

So babes this look.

In preparation for the much cooler temps this look was born. I love a good turtle during the winter and even fall weather, so this turtle is no exception. During the impending winter season, I like to refer to this turtle as my fave winter stripes. It feels so snug and comfy whenever I wear it, but not snug enough that I’m uncomfortable. Nope! It’s just right.

As some of you may know I’m not much of a ‘pants wearer‘. Whenever I have the option to choose between pants or skirts/dresses, pants are always a hard pass. Except when the weather limits the option of choosing. In that case pants are a hell yeah. This pair of denim make having to wear pants not so bad actually. They don’t make me uncomfortable or want to rip them off while I’m still out & about and should be thinking of no such thing. The zipper detail also gives the denim some trendy vibes that I quite dig.

I threw a swanky cardi over top to add some definition to my look. The winter stripes is snug, so I figured I’d have something slouchy and loose to finish off the outfit details.

With all this talk of cardigans, turtles, and winter weather — I’m so excited to pull stuff for my next shoot with my girls. With my OG photographer it’s been toooooo long, and with one of my other good gfs that I reach out to from time to time I can’t wait. More winter wear loading in 3, 2, 1… Stay tuned babes.

Alright babes, I’m off to catch a few more zzzzz’s. It’s 6:30 in the morning over here, and I’m totally wonder woman or bat shit crazy for getting this post done so early. I’ll go with wonder woman, you?
