Hi babes! With the weather fluctuating on a day to day basis here in Houston, choice of clothing matters. No matter the weather or the particular season, cropped sweaters will never go out of style.

Am I right or AM I RIGHT?!

They just have a way of making outfit selection that much easier. I’m talking, they pretty much go with everything. If I’m on the hunt for something quick and easy? A crop top and high waist jeans are where it’s at. & boom, just like that outfit selection is made easy.

BUT here’s the thing with my personal crop top history.

Much to my mom’s displeasure crop tops have become a staple in every female’s wardrobe (including my own) LOL. She’s never understood the point of wearing something that isn’t completely covering your abdominal region.

“But it’s faaaaaashion Mom,” I used to whine.

You wouldn’t be wrong if you guessed those sentiments fell on deaf ears.

My mom wasn’t having none of that.

I guess she just didn’t see them as an appropriate way to dress. As a traditional Nigerian parent, showing unnecessary skin was a no go in her eyes. As in doing so isn’t a thing because you just don’t do it. However, with the way us babes are rocking them in so many different ways? She’s had to get used to the idea that it IS an appropriate way for us millennials to dress.

After all, a little skin showing never hurt nobody (said someone, somewhere I’m sure).

However with the goal of staying on track in mind, here’s why crop top sweaters will never go out of style.

For one,

They go with practically everything. From your high waist vintage jeans to your favorite mini skirt — cropped sweaters have a way of working with every look.

Two,

Cropped sweaters tend to provide the perfect level of comfort during the winter months. They’re thick enough that you won’t ever get too cold, but usually airy enough that you  never get too hot. The perfect double whammy.

Three,

The amount of skin you show in them is totally up to you. Just because you’re wearing a “crop top” doesn’t mean that your whole stomach has to be out. You can choose to show a little, a lot, or nothing at all.

Four,

Millennials are the future LOL. With the way us babes are rocking all things cropped (including sweaters) — that alone is a major reason they’ll never go out of style. Hell, we’ll never let them.
