Merry Christmas everyone! The day that little kids dream of and their parents marvel at them for is finally here! So many families gather together on this day and carry out traditions dating back years. This is truly the time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together in the spirit of love. How could you not adore this time of the year? Whether it’s waking up and throwing on festive pajamas; going to church and celebrating what Christmas means to your faith; or opening gifts exactly at midnight we all have traditions. Your traditions can be something big that the family never strays away from or something you recreate every year.
Traditions are something that usually last a lifetime, especially holiday traditions. Traditions can be in the form of yummy staple foods like Christmas Truffles. Missed the ‘How To’ on making Christmas Truffles? Find it here! Traditions can also be in the form of events or even a particular hairstyle. They are something that your parents pass to you and you can further pass to your kids. When I was younger, my family had one particular tradition we would hardly stray away from. We’d make cookies or have some type of snack to leave out for Santa. Sometimes my siblings and I would try to stay awake with the hopes of catching Santa right at 12am Christmas Day, but end up falling asleep. We were such typical kids! After opening our gifts we’d fall asleep and get ready for Christmas service at church in the morning. Christmas Day holds some of my best childhood memories. Today, we still attend church every morning but no longer try as much to stay up till 12am Christmas Day. However, coming down in my pajamas and opening presents before church is our more modern Christmas tradition. After opening all the presents under the tree, grabbing a cup of tea is a must have for me. What are your family Christmas traditions? Feel free to leave me some comments below and let me know what Christmas means to you and your family. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!
