WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT

Hi y’all and happy start of a new week. The original post for this evening had nothing to do with the topic we’ll be chatting about tonight instead. I had every intention of writing my original thoughts for this post, but to walk by faith and not by sight wouldn’t leave me. It was on my heart to share what God put in my heart. So my prayer for my readers tonight — you allow this to serve as a reminder that your faith should always be louder and hold more weight than your fears.

This topic is talked about often enough, but hardly is it applied and understood. To walk by faith, not sight. To hold on to what isn’t seen trusting that in doing so, God’s plan will be revealed. That he will do a good thing. That he will make a way and provide not what we want, but what we need. I can’t tell you how many times, I have rerouted myself and my thoughts to remember these sentiments.

Times when the solution to a problem seemed so unattainable. As if everything going on in life was intent on swallowing me whole.

Walk by Faith, Not By Sight.

It’s something I try to chant to myself often when I’m:

Worried.

Fearful

Hurt

Lost

Etc…

Walk by Faith, Not by Sight.

The phrase though catchy in today’s world is rooted in the scripture, specifically 2 Corinthians 5:7.

The Lord wants us to hold on to his word by not only reading it, but trusting in it. Believing that to have faith is the ultimate test of fellowship with the Heavenly Father.

In today’s world, I’m reminded often how challenging ignoring the worldly ways of life and holding on to what we can’t touch can be.

It’s so freaking hard.

To walk by faith and not by sight when the world is showing you NO, but the Lord is whispering YES.

It’s so damn hard.

To walk by faith and not by sight when what your heart desires isn’t what God determines you need.

But hold on y’all. It’s hard, but hold on.

I hope today’s blog post serves as a reminder to trust in the Lord, leaning not on your own understanding. Believe that the true miracle is not what we see in front of us, but what we believe The Lord will do for us despite what the world displays outwardly.

To walking by faith, despite what we see by sight,
