Yesterday was such an amazing day. Can we start there before I jump into anything else? I’ve just been super stressed lately omg. The kind of stress that’s product producing, but also draining. However, days like yesterday? Make the stress of the week so damn worth it. Exploring my city with Jules was every bit of what I needed. With such explorations leading us to Coterie, the cutest cafe EVER.
So keep reading as I give you babes a run down of how this cafe stole my heart and why it will forever have my heart.
co·te·rie
/ˈkōdərē,ˌkōdəˈrē/
noun
a small group of people with shared interests or tastes, especially one that is exclusive of other people
The European ambiance of the cafe/restaurant upon entering immediately spoke to the meaning behind it’s unique name. It almost felt like you were entering a secret society that no one knew of, but you and your girlfriends. It definitely gave me major Gossip Girl vibes. For suuuuuure.
From the chestnut seats to the marble tables… Trying not to drool here because good interior design makes me squeal. But impeccable interior design… yeah that definitely makes me drool. I mean, you just can’t beat the level of interior genius the Coterie had going on. Oh and dare I forget the insane wallpaper?! It was a legit a mix of an old, and yet modern tropical floral situation that I couldn’t take my eyes off of. My goodness. It was sooo nice you guys and definitely gave off that ‘Dorothy wasn’t in Kansas anymore‘ feeling LOL. I just wish there was a way I could pack up the place in my bag and jet off like Dorothy did with ToTo the dog.
Anyway.
After managing to get over the decor enough to order (which was very difficult to do because duh), I awaited my food with greedy eyes and an even greedier tummy. I went for the “All Star Plate” which included:
Toasted Pan Au Lait made in House with Satsuma Jam, Two Eggs any way, Daily Ground Pork Sausage Patty, & Fried Potatoes
YOU GUYS.
It was so dang good and everything most of us babes look for in a breakfast meal. I’m talking perfectly seasoned potatoes, fresh tomatoes, delicious eggs, toasted bread done right with jam… The price wasn’t too shabby either. 😉 P.S. I may have gobbled it up faster than I could take a picture. Sorry
So when you babes have the chance — whether you’re in Houston or visiting; check out the Coterie. I promise it will give the feeling of exclusivity a whole new meaning.
