Let’s jump straight into some fashion talk.

Has anyone else noticed how big of a splash mini skirts have been making recently?! It seems like everywhere I turn babes are donning mini skirts either with a roughed up graphic tee, a sweet & dainty top, or a mix of both. I’m not complaining though! I’m always down for some leg action!

I was headed to dinner the other night with a good girlfriend and just knew a mini skirt was just what I needed. Where we were headed, was the kind of place that was fancy, but still young and fetch in terms of crowd.

Yes. I’m totally bringing fetch back like the babes from Mean Girls LOL. Aren’t you?

Anyway.

Based off of the young crowd, I was positive about one thing concerning my outfit.

I didn’t want to be too covered up.

I knew I wanted to show some maaajor leg, but in a fly not so trashy sort of way! Which by the way is TOTALLY possible. The misconception that some people (mostly parents & SOs) have is that you can’t rock a mini skirt without it looking trashy, and that’s simply not true.

It’s honestly a matter of how you where it based off where you’re headed.

Since I was headed to dinner, I chose to pair my black mini skirt with a thick cotton top.

I guess I just figured, I was going to be showing a lot of leg, so I didn’t want to have lingering eyes elsewhere. I kept all the action in the look to a minimum focusing those lingering eyes to my legs instead. I mean, there’s just something so empowering about walking into a room giving some major leg and nothing else.

I also chose the thicker cotton top because restaurants have a tendency to be a lot cooler on the inside than the weather outside. I had the right idea in mind because as soon as I walked in, the cool air of the restaurant hit my girlfriend and I at once.

Talk about, brrrrrrrh.

I finished off the look with my faaaaave heels from Dolce Vita. I get a lot of DMs from you babes asking me about how to snag these bbs for yourself, but it’s so hard to locate them. I snagged them from DSW a few years back, and I promise y’all — I’ve been looking for them for ages to link on the blog, but have had no luck in finding them.

At this point, your guess is as good as mine on how to get a hold of them and where.

Sooooowy.

As for me, I’ll be watching the remake of Beauty & The Beast starring my girl Emma Watson. Finally.

This movie was legit my favorite growing up, so you can imagine how stoked I am to be watching this tonight.
