Okay, okay… I might be over exaggerating just a bit, but that’s because I was able to go without my phone and not die. I mean c’mon, for us millenial babes who are practically stitched to our phones — that is a major accomplishment.
If you’re a guy who’s recently been guilty of ghosting a girl, this one’s for you. To be honest, I can’t believe I actually have to write a PSA to boys everywhere about this.
It’s been so long since I’ve sat at my table (in my room, where I do most of my blog writing) and just share. I have to admit that it feels a bit awkward to be back on. I’m not sure if I should start out apologizing or just jump straight in. I’m thinking the latter might serve me best, so here goes nothing. As many of you babes know or don’t know — I’m in nursing school. I don’t talk about it much on here because I never want to change what my blog is for me; an escape. When I share a new blog post or work on new content, it’s my opportunity to dive into my passion face first, and forget about nursing school. For a little while at least! Don’t get me wrong though! I’m passionate about nursing school, but in a different way. I see blogging as my childhood dream realized, and nursing as my educational passion realized.
Feel me?
Anyway. In previous semesters I have been able to work on my blog and excel in school at the same damn time. However, this semester proved challenging to say the least. In the beginning I’d like to think I was doing great with posting at least once or twice a week, and then everything went to shit… out of the blue. HA! No excuses, but school got hard AF. Or, hard af may be a tad bit too strong of a description. I guess it didn’t get hard, so much as it got a bit hairy. I found myself struggling to keep up with my childhood dream realized and it SUCKED. It was hard to accept that I had to put this passion of mine to the wayside because I had something that required more of me.
So, I left. I went away for a bit to focus, to give the required attention this passion requested of me.
WHERE I’M AT:
I am now basking in the fortunes of the promise land. Which is basically just a fancy way of saying, this semester of nursing school is pretty much OVEEEEEER.
Whew.
I feel like I can breathe again. I legit couldn’t let another day pass without making my way back to you babes and sharing new content. Even if it’s the longest blog post on my website to date, sorry not sorry hehe. It feels so good to be at a place where I feel at peace. I’m at a place again where I feel rooted in my passion instead of being drowned by them, all of them to be exact. My mind is so clear now and I’m ready to get back on the ball and produce some of the best content you babes have yet to see.
After all, we’re girlfriends meant to stay thick as thieves and tribe building is no easy task when one of the girlfriends (me lol) is always disappearing.
WHERE I’M GOING:
After the chaos that was this semester of nursing school, I believe a vacation is in order!
Don’t you?
I’m headed to California next week (whoop, whoop) and will be vlogging my entire trip, shooting looks out there (when I’m not playing drinking games with the gals or stuffing my face full), and just having loads and loads of fun.
How, when, what — Well. In the midst of the chaos: I planned a trip, flights were booked, a car was rented, rental homes were paid for because I knew months ago that a vacation was definitely going to be in order.
Stay locked and loaded into the blog and my instagram starting next Wednesday to have a front row seat to the wild fun that will be my girls trip to LA.
Hi babes! I wanted to share a beautiful birthday brunch/dinner I hosted to celebrate my 23rd birthday. I’m so big on birthdays, so as each year passes — it’s always a really big deal to me. If you haven’t already, check out this post to find out what turning 23 this year means to me. Continue Reading
