The truth about friendships? They’re a lot of work and that right there is the plain ole’ truth.
THEY ARE A LOT OF WORK.
If you babes, haven’t guessed by the title — I’ll give you babes a flat out hint!
It’s my birthday. I’m turning 24 today and it feels like just yesterday, I was turning 16!
When I chat with my girl friends, or guy friends with leading ladies in their lives — I have found that one thing remains a constant; the desire for assertiveness.
Whether it’s the girl wanting the guy to be more take charge in nature OR the guy recognizing that his girl wants him to be more of a take charge kind of guy — the preference for assertion continues to soar.
But why? Why do us women want more of an assertive man? In today’s post I’m shining the light on this secret desire and explaining why us girls feel a ways.
No.
It’s always the reflective response we have to any yes or no question we’re asked. I’m not even totally sure why. I guess it’s our minds way of combating the demands of everyday life by putting ourselves in an automatic “no mode.” No to a drink with the girls. No to art museum escapades. A quick no to damn near everything, instead of simply saying yes. Though at times it can be beneficial (allow you the opportunity to get things done, play things safe), it can also hinder growth in many ways.
Happy Monday y’all!
No, but seriously. Happy Monday y’all! It’s Labor Day, which means (if you’re like me) you babes are still riding high on the four day weekend. After all — eating, laughing, and being merry is what this four day weekend is all about.
& a lot of that I did which included trying out a local eatery, Emmaline.
