So the cat’s out the bag. I cried at work. Thursday was tough. Like unusually tough. I found myself struggling to keep a handle on it all. Funny enough, I tried to power through it all at the start of the shift.
Well wait.
Let me go back.

I love the color black. For one, it almost always looks good on everyone. Size, shape, and everything else be damned. & Two, it’s such a timeless color that does a great job of transitioning no matter the season. It’s for those two reasons (not to mention many many others) that I know black will always be a fashion staple.
I mean how could it not?
From wearing a little black dress made popular by the likes of the CoCo Chanel to dressing it up or down — black has the ability to go with whatever the attire calls for.
In today’s look on With Love, Thelms
I’m opting for a black crop top and black denim pants.
Keep reading for details on this look babes.
So the look.
I’m wearing a one shoulder crop top from NastyGal and vintage denim I thrifted! I always get questions on how I go about shopping for vintage denim and I’ve chatted about that a while back on the blog. Here’s the link in case you missed it — How I Shop for Vintage Denim.
I finished off the look with heels from here and my purse is from Topshop.
Now tell me this look doesn’t make having this color in your wardrobe a must.
I sure hope so!
Today’s post was short and sweet, but something juicy is on the way come Wednesday. SO keep your eyes peeled.
Laters babes,

Fall is technically here, but in Houston it still feels very much like summer. Which is the reason most of my wardrobe hasn’t quite transitioned into complete Fall attire. I’m skipping out on the long pants and anything knit right now because whew. It’s just too damn hot here and I can barely take it.
Your morning routine matters. Even in the midst of the craziness that is midweek blues and all the things you have to get done at any given point during the day — that point remains the same. Morning routines have the ability to make a world of difference in how the rest of your day goes. If done right, they help get the day started in a way that keeps productivity flowing. I’m not even going to lie y’all. I happen to love my morning routine. Without it, I’m not sure where I’d be LOL.
