8 Apps I Can’t Live Without

apps

Let’s face it. We all hold our phones to a certain level of love and attention that some researchers may call “unhealthy”.

Is it though? I mean yes obviously. But speaking generally first. I’d like to think that our phones hold the answers to so much that to not hold it so near and dear to ourselves would be suicide on all fronts. I’m talking not knowing where to be, who you’re supposed to be there with, professional and social commitments, personal appointments, the ability to quick pay… I mean must I continue? MY FIRST 30 DAYS AS A REGISTERED NURSE

Wow, 30 days as a Registered Nurse?! Time flies when you’re having fun. Those words have never been truer than they are right now, at this point in my life. It’s been 3 months since I graduated from nursing school and one month since I started working in the hospital as a registered nurse. BRB, just going to do a quick happy dance before continuing because — your girl is doing big thangs y’all. WHOOP!

It still feels surreal that my time spent in nursing school was worth it and led me to this point. That I reached a goal I had fought for tooth and nail. I’m not sure if the wonder of that will ever go away. & To be honest, I hope it never does. In light of having the first month under my belt, because big thangs obvi. I figured what better time than now to share! SO keep reading as I look back on my first 30 days as a registered nurse. Recounting my experiences and the things I’ve learned because of them. MY WEEKEND PLAYLIST

weekend playlist

Happy Friday y’all! After a long, but rewarding week I am so dang excited that the weekend is finally here. Or will officially be here in about five or so hours LOL. I tend to find that even when I do have to work on Fridays, I feel lighter somehow because the weekend’s technically here. In the spirit of such, I figured I’d share my weekend playlist with y’all. These are the songs I will be jamming to all weekend and getting my turn up to. Shaking ass, whining, and throwing back drinks, most definitely included. Continue Reading

WHY I DON’T BELIEVE IN RELATIONSHIP GOALS ANYMORE

relationship goals

If you asked me a month ago about what couples were relationship goals, whew. I’d have listed off too many. Though these days I’m singing a totally different tune when it comes to relationships. They’re just never what they seem to be y’all. I think I’ve always known that, but I became more sure of that recently. There are so many things left to the imagination. I’m talking things you will never know about someone else’s life with another person. Things you aren’t meant to know to be honest. So to pit your own relationship or the one you hope to have on the basis of another is honestly a bit wild and mostly unrealistic.

How can you desire a relationship that you have no idea the ins and outs of..? How can someone else’s relationship be your relationship goals? Continue Reading

PERSONAL SPACE PLEASE

GIVE ME MY PERSONAL SPACE PLEASE.

Today’s post is nothing short of a PSA because I’m tired y’all. Tired of going to the grocery store and the lady behind me is all in my backside. So very tired of being at the mall (a place with so much room) and practically going toe to toe with a total stranger insistent on walking so close to me. I’m frankly exhausted by a portion of society’s lack of understanding when it comes to personal space. So much so that I feel like we need to talk babes. There are a few things we have got to iron out when it comes to personal space. Continue Reading
