F45: THE GYM THAT WILL MAKE YOUR FITNESS GOALS ATTAINABLE

F45

At the start of the new year, I don’t think it’s too far fetched to assume that everyone has fitness goals on the brain. Hell, I know I sure do! After all, they do say “summer bodies are made in the winter

This is why finding the perfect gym that could make that saying a reality in my life was so dang important. So when I got the opportunity from Kayva and my friends at Eko Studios to train at F45 gym and bring a friend? I jumped at the opportunity.  Continue Reading

SUNDAY CHAT: COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY

Comparison is the thief of joy

Have you ever heard that before? “Comparison is the thief of joy” that is.

I hadn’t till a friend of mine posted the quote on her instastory. So naturally I reposted it to mine because, duh. Social media and something with meaning making an impact obviously. I mean there has always been this understanding that it’s never good to compare yourself to the next person. However, I had never seen it written out in such a simple, but impactful way. Got the late night munchies?

late night munchies

Got the late night munchies? This happens usually when you’re studying and need a snack to munch on; watching TV late at night; or just hungry. I always get the late night munchies. Book of the Month

Books to Read

I think reading is a great way to expand your knowledge and it’s a healthy hobby for the mind. My favorite pastime is reading. I’ve always loved escaping into a new novel and becoming one with the characters. From the moment you start reading to the moment you finish reading, you are engaged in a world unlike your own. I don’t know about you, but that’s exciting to me. I have loved reading since I was little and that’s a love that will never die. I remember being so anxious to finish my homework in elementary school, just so my mom would let me read Junie B. Jones novels after. I think everyone should take up a good book every once in a while because it’s good for your health. Reading is a nice way to calm down the mind and relax. I use reading as a way to relieve stress and you should too! My good girlfriend and I have this unofficial book club running, so we’re always finding new books to read. Today I want to share with you guys my book of the month for January. I know it’s only the 13th of January, but I’m a fast reader!

My Juj for November

Every month, I want to bring light to something I’m obsessing over. I’m just one of those that really obsesses over something for a while, until I’m absolutely sick of it. However, I always make my way back around to it eventually and the cycle repeats itself. Sometimes I end up never getting sick of it and stay obsessed forever. I refer to it as my “JUJ” because it’s like my thing, my right hand in most things I do for the month. My JUJ can range anywhere from my favorite makeup product to my favorite cooking ingredient. I have a feeling that this month’s JUJ will be my obsession forever. This month I’m zeroing in on my favorite cooking ingredient slash add-on to anything I’m eating. This month it is, DRUMROLL please…
