Happy start of the week you guys! I woke up so ready to get my day started. I mean, yes I am a morning person, so most of my mornings usually begin like this. But today? Today felt especially good. I’d like to think much of it stems from my wonderful experience at Fig & Olive: Houston this past weekend. After a draining, but rewarding week — my visit to the restaurant was just what the Doctor ordered. I ate yummy food, laughed till I was nearly at the point of tears, and indulged in a cocktail… or three. Maybe two? Needless to say, I enjoyed my time thoroughly. You’ve never been cheated on and are reading today’s post for the sake of insight only. Continue Reading

However, it’s interesting that the same isn’t supposed to ring true on their end. At their moment of need they expect you to jump through hoops to show support. They want you to pull out all the stops to lend a hand. Whether it’s to promote their new business, wear their hair line, or support the people they love — they want your support readily.
So it begs the question: Why can’t they do the same for you? Why is it that they don’t recognize that support works both ways? Continue Reading
Excited, but slightly anxious.
That’s the best way I can summarize how I feel about starting my nurse journey. Continue Reading
