Oh the perils of dating. Times have definitely changed and because of that we are now seeing a surge in online dating more than we ever did in previous years.
I mean, here’s the thing. Are people finding the love of their lives via online dating sites/apps, yes. However, in the same breath — are people also finding bullshitting inconsistent men/women?
Yes, yes, and yes.
Dating is exhausting. Meeting different men and having some of the same conversations over and over again is just… wow. It’s quite literally one of the most exhausting things I’ve done in the past couple of years.
It’s like you both are mutually interested in one another at one point and then poof, you’re not.
So you go out for drinks with the girls and BAM. A guy comes out of left field who’s been apparently watching you the whole night. He finally gets up the nerve to strike up conversation. He’s doing the usual spiel guys do when they’re trying to get you talking. With the ultimate goal being to score your number. You give it to him because you’re just as interested.
Then a few days go by and something’s different. Or even after a few weeks, you notice a change.
A few tell tale signs begin to make you realize that you may be more into him than he’s into you.
