Fall is technically here, but in Houston it still feels very much like summer. Which is the reason most of my wardrobe hasn’t quite transitioned into complete Fall attire. I’m skipping out on the long pants and anything knit right now because whew. It’s just too damn hot here and I can barely take it.
But slow and steady wins the race right? Although I’m still rocking dresses and daisy dukes like we’re in the middle of summer — I have begun to transition into fall colors with this look from Zara.
So keep reading as I put the spotlight on this Zara dress today on With Love, Thelms.
This dress from Zara makes transitioning into fall so easy for tons of reasons. The biggest being the color. There is something so beautiful about a sandy beige look during the fall months. The color is one of a few that represent the warmth and comfort commonly associated with the season. It’s as if the color screams, “I AM FALL & WHO’S GOING TO POP ME.”
Ya know?
I also especially loved the Zara dress because it was so simple in nature and didn’t require a lot. I mean. Donning a dress never requires a lot and keeps to my three requirements when getting dressed for any outing.
The look has to be minimalistic, comfortable, and feminine.
All of which are embodied in the dress.
I finished off the look with my favorite lace up sandals from Forever 21, a cheetah headband from Zara, and my chestnut purse (that I still can’t get enough of) from Topshop.
Till my prayers are finally answered and true Fall weather is upon us — I’ll be transitioning slow and steady.
