Besides complaining about the fact that Spring Break is over and in a few hours I’ll be at school doing the learning thing, I have no exciting life events to chat about.
LOL. Let’s just say my life has been uber boring with nothing but school, food, and more school taking precedent. So, let’s just jump straight into some fashion talk because that never gets boring and will always have a place in my heart. Even if going out and wearing such fashions isn’t on my priority list as of late. Not to worry though, I’m sure I’ll be back to sipping margs and mulling over another week of exams in no time.
Moving on.
I have truly fallen in love with black pieces in my wardrobe, if you couldn’t tell by the outfit choices I’ve been chatting about on the blog recently. It’s safe to say that it has quickly become one of my favorite colors. Although, it’s a far cry from when I was in highschool and couldn’t stand being seen in the color black, let alone purchasing it. For some reason it seemed so *un-feminine to me and I foolishly thought it was something only ‘gothic people’ loved.
I know, I know. Such a silly and immature way of thinking about a color I would later look at as such a badass shade for women. Including myself hehe.
What I love about this top (which is actually a mini dress from Missguided that I tucked in — more on what, why, and huh in a bit) is the slinky silk feel of it. It’s so casual and freeing, and as many times as I’ve chatted about my love for those two words together when describing clothing — it was a no brainer that I had to have it. It’s thin enough that getting overly warm is highly unlikely, but also perfect for layering a coat or cardi on top when things get a bit chilly without looking too stuffy.
So why did I take a mini dress and tuck it in so it looked like a top?! Weeeell, as I do all the content I share on le’ blog I plan out my outfits. Somehow the original cami I had paired with these pants got misplaced or grew two legs and walked away. Obvi I then had to improvise LOL. So yeah.
Anyway.
The pants. Ugh. They are a moment. Have a feel for them as you scroll down and we’ll chat about them in a minute.
Okay, so aren’t these pants sooo good. I mean they’re a moment because how could something so amazing be so comfy?! Let’s just Foreign Exchange (RIP) really out did themselves with these stunners.
So, I’ve already mentioned how comfy these pants are and they are just that. Cooooooomfy, sheesh.
Besides them feeling like the softest silk bedsheet when I put them on, they’re also very versatile. I could throw on a cute graphic tee and slip on sneakers and this look would turn into the perfect Day 4 festival attire.
However, we’re chatting about a silk & stripes situation, so we’ll refocus on that.

Hope y’all loved the silk & stripes situation just as much as I do. I put a spin on my obsession with all black and added a slice literally of white.
As you guys make your way through the start of week, I hope you get so much done it makes your hands bleed success because you’ve been working so hard.
Stay productive AF,
xx Thelms
