Rejection is Protection.
If you didn’t know, not to worry because by the end of this post you’ll know with 100% confidence.
Rejection is protection.
Yesterday afternoon, I had the most amazing conversation with my good sis Caresse.
We caught up about everything we haven’t had a chance to catch up on since she started going to Law School in the middle of nowhere. Lol I’m kidding, but not really. It’s a little town that might as well be considered the middle of nowhere.
Anyway.
One topic we touched on that I felt moved to share with you guys is the fact that rejection from the man you thought you needed/wanted is the ultimate protection.
Women, we give so much of ourselves to men who just don’t deserve all we have to offer. Can you believe then that after giving everything we have we’re sent on our merry way — without so much as a conversation or send off party? The latter was a joke, but in all serious when that happens it’s a tough pill to swallow.
To put in so much energy and time, only to be rejected SUCKS. It’s the worst feeling, but I began considering taking a different route of emotions after my conversation yesterday.
Does rejection from a man always have to feel like the end of the world?
Just maybe rejection should be celebrated for all that it leads you to in the long run.
We’ve always been taught that rejection is supposed to hurt. That we’re supposed to remain in a state of despair (no time limit detailed), until someone else comes along. That to be rejected is quite literally the worst thing that could ever happen to you.
But again, is it really?
I started to consider that just maybe rejection looks a lot like grace. Something we need, but don’t always realize we need.
What is grace you may be wondering?
In so many words, the good book (the Bible) defines grace as,
The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
I’ll let that sit with you for a little bit.
Do you now see why rejection is protection?
We are loved so much by the Lord that to protect us is to bless us.
So the next time a man ghosts you, instead of getting upset remember.
Rejection is protection.
Or when a man cowardly exists your life without so much as an explanation.. good sis remember — rejection is protection.
To welcoming rejection and all the good things that will come as a result of it,
