How To Throw A Great Outfit Together in 5mins

How many of you have received that last minute text from a good girlfriend or friend, wanting to hang? Whether it’s brunch or a late dinner, you really want to go out with them. You either haven’t seen this friend in ages, need to get out of the house, or know you’re going to have a great time. However, you have nothing to wear! I’ve come up with an easy way to get my outfits picked out and on in 5mins or less! I think it just might work for you.

STICK TO BASICS. Whenever we think of going out, it’s in our nature to try to look the best especially if it’s last minute plans. We try to pull the cutest newest stuff out of our closet that hasn’t seen outside skies ever. I assure you guys that doing that isn’t necessary! The basics are always a great option to go to first because they can build up to something amazing. It’s called last minute plans for a reason. No one expects you to show up as Beyonce for dinner and they sure don’t want you showing up rough either. Find the happy medium. Sticking to basics and the comfort of them will have you reaching that medium in no time.

With this outfit, I grabbed some inexpensive leggings from American Apparel (however my favorites are from Forever 21) and a baseball tee from American Apparel as well! Doesn’t get any more basic (in a good way of course) than that! To add a little bit of feminine edge, I threw a pastel pink biker jacket from Forever 21 on top. I finalized my look with these strappy heels from Missguided. Tada! I had a great outfit together in 5 freaking minutes! If you’re headed to a late dinner and these colors are a little bright for you, switching to darker hues in everything will work just fine. You guys, the key to it is just sticking to your basics. When you’re in a hurry, don’t think of over the top. Instead stick to basic pieces in your wardrobe that you can build on and turn into something great!
