Happy Thanksgiving y’all. With the feasting that is sure to go down in a few hours, I figured what better time than now to share: How to get Black Friday Ready.
After all, I don’t know about you guys but my email has been on one (POPPIN’) since the wee hours. So much so that it’s getting hard to keep up with what shops are having what Black Friday sales.
SO.
Although I’m not one to participate in Black Friday shopping (unless I can do it from the comfort of my apartment) —
I’m looking out for you babes and sharing tips on how y’all can get Black Friday ready.
Make a list of all the things you’re hoping to snag on discount. I’m talking like pencil to the pad, or rather fingers to the keys on your phone screen type of list. Black Friday is wild and overwhelming enough as it is. You don’t want to be in a situation where you get so overwhelmed you’re getting discounts on things you don’t need and missing out on the things you actually need.
Get a move on things early. If you want to snag the good stuff, you have to get there early when there’s good stuff still left to be snagged. I have never understood going shopping (when there’s going to be a shit ton of people) at the very last minute. By doing so you’re left with the crumbs of what others didn’t really care to snag. All of whom sacrificed their sleep for the glee of getting exactly what they set out to get.
Leave the tote bags, big wallets, and unnecessary items at home ladies. YOU DON’T NEED THEM. Having to be responsible for any of these items are only going to set you back in a major way. All you need is your license, your credit card, and your phone. Everything else is just extra luggage you can do without. I promise.
Bring a companion. I think it’s always a great idea to hit the shops with someone who has your back. Solely there to aid in being your extra set of arms and legs. While you run like a maniac around the store, they’re staying back protecting the fort of goodies you so efficiently snatched up. They can also help with loading things up in the car. Plus, they make the task of Black Friday shopping not so business-y.
Get in and get out. It is my belief that the longer you hang around stores on a day like Black Friday, the more likely you are to have unfortunate things occur. SO, do yourself a favor and as quickly as you got there — make it a point to get all that you need, and get out the same way. Quick.
To a great Black Friday shopping experience,
Thelms xx.
