HAVE YOU MET BOTH OF YOUR SOULMATES?

Have you met both of your soulmates? Someone asked me the other day if I thought I’d met my soulmate yet and after careful thought (much to her surprise) I responded by saying, “which one?”

Now before you go scrunching up your face in confusion like she did by my response, hear me out first.

It is my belief that in this life, we are all born with two soulmates somewhere out in the world.

One that will love you physically and emotionally & one that will love you just emotionally.

They usually don’t come into your life at the same time, but when they do — you’ll know.

You’ll know when the first soulmate (usually the one who remains a friend/confidant for the rest of your life) comes because they’ll stay.

The second, well.. that one can be a bit tricky to figure out but I’ll explain as you keep reading.

SO FOR THE TRUE BREAKDOWN OF SOULMATES,

For starters, I see the first soulmate as a lifelong friend.

Someone who will grow alongside you. Someone who will challenge you to be better. Someone who will help you recognize your faults, so that you can be the best version of yourself. Someone who isn’t afraid to tell you when you’re wrong. Someone who is gentle and kind. However, they can also be tough and intolerant of your bullshit. Who doesn’t wait to be told, but does. I believe this person usually is someone who’s always been around. Or they might even come into your life during a pivotal time of transformation. They know your core, in all its variating shades and are still willing to ride the wave. Outside of your family and the big man upstairs, they will always know you better than best. They are your safe haven, until your other soulmate comes along and compliments their role tenfold. They are comfort. They are home when family isn’t accessible. They are peace.

Then your other soulmate comes along.

This is the one that loves you physically and emotionally (spiritually even, because they were made and sent by God for you). They love you like your first soulmate, but in a different way. I’d like to think their love is more intense and unrelenting. Someone you share yourself with beyond friendship, but at the core friendship exists. The person you lay open to, both literally and figuratively. It is my belief, that this person usually comes later in life. Or maybe they’ve been around for sometime and somewhere along the way things changed. Either way, this soulmate comes and wrecks havoc on your peace. This is because as much as they are your peace, they become your fire, your storm — available to ensure tranquility or disaster upon your life at any given moment. The love you have for this person exceeds any love you could have ever thought you’d have for a single being besides your family. They don’t tell you how scary that love can be. However, that’s the best thing about it. It’s what makes you cherish it more. After all, with this soulmate it’s through the fire and storm that peace eventually resides. They are your peace and become your home.

As I said, when they show up you’ll know and if not immediately, eventually.

However, with all this talk about soulmates it makes me wonder about you babes: Do you share my thoughts on each of us having two soulmates or are you of the belief that it’s a one and done sort of thing? Have you babes met your soulmate yet, and if so which one have you met?

With life so fickle and people leaving before their time, it’s definitely caused me to wonder the same thing where I’m concerned.

Have I met both of my soulmates yet?

& if I have and they’re no longer in my life, will they ever return?

Nevertheless, it is my prayer that you all find your soulmates if you haven’t already. You’re deserving of unconditional love & understanding from a friend and a lifelong partner.

P.S. Congratulations to my friends Sterling & Kara on finding each other and choosing to spend forever together. I love you guys so much.

  • Hey beauty! I definitely agree with you on having two soulmates in this life! A friend you meet and connect so strongly with can definitely be your soulmate, and of course, a lover can, too! It’s the best of both worlds when you have two amazing people - aside from family and God - who love you unconditionally. It’s the beauty of life 💘 Great post & writing Honey Bunches, Keep it up! 💕
