Who’s ready for a Girl’s Guide to Toronto?! I feel like it’s been forever since we’ve had a good chat. From working, to booking trips, jetting off to Cancun and just coming back from Toronto — it’s been one heck of a few weeks.
But I’m BACK from it all and excited to share my most recent trip to Toronto with you babes.
So, keep reading as I dive into everything I did (food, going out, etc) while in Toronto! A Girl’s Guide to Toronto like you’ve never seen. & of course through that make it abundantly clear that Toronto will always have my heart.
DAY ONE, January 31st
My friend and I arrived around 3PM and after the rudest encounter with one of the Toronto airport security, we headed to our Air Bnb! Our crib for the next few days was housed directly in the middle of downtown Toronto. We were central to everything y’all. The best restaurants, beautiful coffee shops. You name it, we were central to it all. After perusing through our digs and getting over the shock that we had finally made it (by God’s Grace) — we got dressed up and headed into the evening for our first night on the town.
DAY TWO, February 1st
I woke up bright and early ready to get my day started! My friend, Alexis and I had tons planned for the day. We were off to catch brunch somewhere yummy, visit the infamous CN Tower that centralizes the 6th (as Drake so pointedly coins Toronto). We also had plans to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario. All of which we did! We had brunch at Baro, a place just up the street from where we were staying. The ambiance inside was similar to that of an indoor greenhouse with its earthy tones and textured walls. I had THE BEST pancakes of my 25 years of life there. Not sure I’ll ever look at pancakes the same after my experience at Baro because wow. We then headed to the Art Gallery of Ontario! The history presented there was so beautiful and so informative. There’s something so beautiful about art galleries and every time I visit one, I’m so impressed by everything they have to offer. Le’sigh. After doing miles in the walls of the Gallery, we visited the CN Tower. This establishment infamously made popular to my generation by the likes of Drake — it sits as high as that of a 147 floor building with the paneled glass floor as one of its main attractions. It was surreal being so high up and overlooking what felt like the whole of Toronto. It was truly a sight to see. After a much needed siesta, we got dressed and headed to dinner at Akira Back. Ran by a former Nobu executive, the ambiance was everything a dinner spot should be: dark, moody, and yet elegant. The food was EXCELLENT, and the service? Impeccable. We couldn’t have enjoyed our second day more.
P.S. this was the same night that I tried to save a dying dog. I decided I’d share more on this in next week’s story time.
DAY THREE, February 2nd
We were up and out the door before the Sun came out, ready to face the mountains and an entire day of skiing. Alexis and I had the most exhilarating and yet body grueling day ever. I skied and felt good enough that I was confident going at it alone, went tubing, lost my phone and then found it again LOL, and did everything The Blue Mountains of Ontario has to offer. It stands to reason that after, my body was done and needed resting.
DAY FOUR, February 3rd
This was our last full day in Toronto, so we wanted to make the best of exploring and chilling… hard. We scheduled a massage because after skiing, our bodies were begging for tension relief. It was the most amazing experience and much needed. We then followed the afternoon with a trip to Yorkville, popularly coined “the Beverly Hills” of Toronto by many of the locals. We then ended our night at another yummy spot called, Marbl. To the say the burger I had there was the best burger of my entire life would be an understatement. The burger was fucking fantastic omg. The best way to end our final night in the 6th.
In its entirety, my trip to Toronto was a success. I loved getting to see how people live up north and all the beauty Toronto has to offer. I for suuuuuuure will head back when the summer’s in full swing. I hope my Girl’s Guide to Toronto has been informative.
Laters babes,
