FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

Good morning lovers and friends! Can we get into the fact that this month will be over in a day?! I sure can. I’ve always been the type of person that finds the end of something so dang refreshing. Why? Well the end of something always signals the start of something new. It’s a chance to start fresh no matter the area and pursue different things or revise old things and do it better.

In light of that, I figured what better way to say sayonara to this month then by highlighting my favorite moments in February with a post I’m calling: February Highlights.

However, before jumping into that babes — you know the drill. I’ve got to share outfit details with you babes first, so keep reading!

Okay, so this look.

I threw these pieces together with the thought of creating a ‘Hail Mary (pass)‘ in mind.

Hail Mary: (my personalized definition) an outfit that is thrown together in desperation with little hope of being successful.

You get my drift?

I think my best friend who plays football explained it to me once and relating it to football just wasn’t going to work, so I started relating it to fashion and my wardrobe instead.

Anyway. I have a habit of creating a ton of Hail Marys in the event that I desperately need something to wear last minute and don’t feel like thinking too hard about it.

Trust me, creating a ton will prove very beneficial on a rainy day. 😉

I snagged my robe (yes robe and not Kimono), from the sleepwear section of TjMaxx. HA! I’m so not kidding you guys. Believe it or not, my intention was to purchase activewear solely, but I made my way into a section I didn’t belong in… and the rest is history. Ladies, I know you’re very familiar with how that story goes.

The slip dress I purchased from here months and months ago, always serves me perfectly when I need something simple to put under a snazzy coat or cardi.

With a pair of great strappy heels, yet another Hail Mary was created and pushed to the back of my wardrobe — for a rainy day and all.

As for my February Highlights,

  1. I got a new job that I’m super excited about that’s directly related to my pursuit of nursing.
  2. Finalized my vacation plans for the summer (separated from a chunk of money basically and the pain from doing so is lessening each day as my trip gets closer).
  3. Received such positive responses from you babes on my, Story of Their Love writing piece I did for Valentine’s Day. Which in turn pushed me to start sharing new writing weekly.
  4. Fell in love with Peaches & Cream Oatmeal again (if you knew me in my early college days I was mad for peaches & cream oatmeal, ate it too much, began hating it and swore I’d never eat it again for as long as I live. Yet, here we are… hmmm).
  5. Became a Godmother once again (already one to my first bebe Gifty), this time to one of my closest friend from my early college days, first born coming in June.

Now enough about me and my February Highlights, what about you babes? Did you have any notable highlights from this month? If so, share with me in the comments below. I’d love to hear all about it.

Till then,

Thelms
