Craving Chia Seeds, but want to incorporate them into a meal that will actually be delicious? I’ve got just the fix for you. About last year my mom mentioned to me how beneficial chia seeds were and how I should start incorporating them into my diet. I’m telling you guys when it comes to health and eating right, my mom stays on top of it. She gets me into all the healthy foods I am proudly obsessed with today. Okay so back to chia seeds. This Chia Seed Pudding recipe will ensure you incorporate more chia seeds in your life in the most delicious way.
Chia Seed Pudding time. Doesn’t the sound of pudding just make your mouth water? I know mine gets to watering. I try to get chia seeds into my system at least 2-3 times a week. This pudding is my favorite way to do that.
The benefits of chia seeds are amazing! These seeds deliver an intense amount of nutrients with very few calories involved. Vitamin B2, Manganese, Fiber Protein, Omega 3 fatty acids, Calcium, etc just to name a few nutrients. Not only are they filled with nutrients, they are massively loaded with antioxidants. A key thing to remember about chia seeds are due to their high amount of protein and fiber, they can aid in weight loss. Those struggling with Type 2 diabetes can really benefit from the intake of chia seeds because they can cause major improvements in this health issue. Chia seeds can also be a great form of energy because of the high amount of healthy carbs associated with them.
What you will need…
1/4 cup of Chia Seeds (or however much feels comfortable)
A cup of unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 tablespoon of Vanilla Extract (if you wish the tiniest bit of flavor)
Your choice of toppings (bananas, blueberries, raspberries, oats, etc)
A small Tupperware container
Directions…
First, you want to start off by mixing your chia seeds, unsweetened almond milk, and vanilla extract into a small Tupperware container. Let it set in your refrigerator overnight. In the morning, set it in a bowl with your choice of fresh fruit as a topping for the perfect breakfast. I chose bananas because they’re my favorite. From there, happy eating! You’re sure to be craving chia seeds more than you know after this.
I hope you guys try this recipe out and let me know what you think!
