COUNTRY GAL CHIC

Howdy y’all! Happy freaking Wednesday.

So. Being from Texas has its definite pros and just a few cons, the unpredictable weather being one of the few cons — regardless, I love being from the Lone Star State. I was born and raised here and though I may not live out my entire life in Texas, living here for the past 22 years has definitely shaped a lot of who I am. It has shaped my outlook on so many things especially my love of fashion and my overall look. I mean, I’m not a die hard country gal at heart or anything BUT. Let’s just say, I never understood the whole LA girls have a particular look till I became that Texas girl with that Texas look. Go figure.

People who don’t live in Texas have this weird belief that we ride horses (YES, whenever I’ve left Texas people have actually asked me that freaking question you guys omg), we’re so darn country, and we chew and spit tobacco.

You do know it’s 2017 and not 1836, right?!

Sometimes I can’t tell if they’re totalling BS’ing me and pulling my leg, or being completely serious. I’m going with the latter,  for now.

What is true of Texas girls is our love for maxi dresses and boots of any kind! Anything with a wedge or some chunk to it is GAME. Oh and maybe just a dash of some print… LOL.

I mean, my idea of Texas fashion is drama, boots of any kind, and a little more drama.

Think Anything Bling, Em & LeeWild Bleu (hell, their freaking flavicon is the lone star state; doesn’t get any more Texas than that), etc.

Here I’m doing Texas proud in my OTKs (over the knee boots) and printed maxi dress WITH an Angelina Jolie Oscars 2012 slit. Talk about draaama.

I mean at this rate how could you not love Texas style. My thigh highs make this look so chic, country gal chic to be specific, so that it’s wearable for most occasions and not stuck behind a summer or winter fit label.

The demure print of the maxi dress is my favorite thing about it. I love that the floral print is not a shouting in your face type of pattern (the more shouting the print, the less versatile it becomes), but more toned down in its appearance.

Then of course, I liiiiiiive for a bit of classy skin showing. Tehehe.

So do you babes wanna change your various zipcodes to 77TEXAS or what?

Texas girls are the bestest.

Totally not biased or anything… LOL.

On another note, it’s Wednesday babes and many of you know how I feel about Wednesdays (it’s the middle of the week and there are a few more days till the weekend, WHOOP), so make today a good one!

Laters y’all (I could not miss that opportunity for some Texas gal slang),
