VISITED: CAVO COFFEE + OUTFIT DEETS

Happy Saturday babes!

As you guys can see, I’m doing things a little different this afternoon.

I am breaking the mold that most bloggers, including myself abide by and posting on a Saturday. Ohmyfreakinggosh.

Normally, I wouldn’t because the mold that most bloggers follow and all, but I just couldn’t keep putting off this post. Ever since visiting Cavo Cofee, I have been dying to share my experience with you guys.

I visited a few weeks ago with a friend of mine and we had so much fun! Jules (the friend/my photographer) had already been the week before and couldn’t stop raving about the place. If you know me, you know I love food and when someone raves about a food spot — I am known for doing one of two things.

1) Finding out the details of the spot (what they serve, how honestly good the food is, figuring out if the place is spacious/small, where it’s located, etc) OR 2) Salivating at the mouth with excitement because… HELLO.

I am a foodie and all.

SO, Keep reading for my review on Cavo Coffe + outfit deets.

As some of you may know, I’m a huge taco fanatic. I quite literally would eat, breathe, and sleep tacos if I could. So naturally, it was a no brainer that I ordered a breakfast taco once I saw that the option was on the menu.

Inside the breakfast taco was chorizo + tomato + jalapeno & onions + avocado + smoked mozzarella on flour tortilla.

It was so dang good y’all.

The taco was the perfect blend of everything I love in one meal. The way all the ingredients worked together and set my tastebuds on fire (in the best way might I add) was unreal. I specifically loved that the taco was served on a flour tortilla because corn tortillas and I… Well, we don’t really get along. To be honest, I’m not sure when we stopped getting along, but I just know that we don’t so — I make a habit of not choosing it when given an option.

Anyway.

I sipped on an iced vanilla latte to wash it all down.

Now before I get into the yummy goodness that was the latte, I have to share something.

Normally, when eating things like tacos/pasta/rice/ essentially real meals, I don’t like to pair them with milky drinks. Something about my tastebuds that doesn’t agree with eating things like that while drinking milk based beverages alongside it. However, because I was so desperate to get the full experience of Cavo Coffee, I ordered the latte. After all, who goes to a coffee shop without ordering some form of coffee?

Definitely not I, even if I’m not much of a coffee drinker.

I do have to say though that the latte was pretty good and I would go back for it in the future. It was the perfect balance between sweet and neutral, without overwhelming my mouth. It wasn’t heavy on the coffee, which someone like myself who isn’t an avid coffee drinker could especially appreciate.

I’ve been so focused on the food that I almost forgot to mention the interior.

The inside of Cavo Coffee was super vibey. The place was aesthetically pleasing with whites, chestnuts, dark wood, and marble-esque decor throughout. The stools surrounding one of the tables gave off the modern vibes that so many of us bloggers dig.

I could definitely see myself visiting for that yummy vanilla latte, to study, or to just work on the blog.

As for the fashion, I chose to go with simple pieces.

Days prior to vising Cavo Coffee, I snagged this top from here. The mesh material of the top and the sleeves spoke to me almost immediately upon spotting it on the rack. You guys know I live for anything that’s comfortable and feminine. Once I realized that it was both, well… I had to have it. It was also the perfect choice for that afternoon because it was so hot in my city. I mean nothing says I refuse to sweat more than wearing a top that is pretty much weightless and air catching. I put on a half tank underneath and paired the completed top portion of the look with a denim black mini.

Speaking of minis, I have been living in many of them for most of the summer. I especially love how easy they are to throw on! They of course provide so much comfort and femininity which is a HELL YES in my book.

I finished off the look with my favorite strappy sandals.

All in all, Cavo Coffee did me so good.

If that taco was any indication of the other meals on the menu, I can’t wait to go back and try out something new!

I am now off to get dressed and swing by a certain coffee shop. All this talk of food has got my stomach in a jumble and my mouth dripping like the Niagara Falls. Any guesses where I’m headed?

Chat soon babes xx.
