Today is the first day of February! HOLLA. I always get excited at the start of a new month because that means a chance at so many things. A new start, a new beginning at anything, a refresher; new month vibes. I thought it would be best to talk about what my JUJ for January was. My last JUJ was Cayenne Pepper in November! If you don’t recall what a JUJ is and what it means to me, you can find out here! I haven’t been giving you guys a thorough up to date on my JUJs, but I promise I’ll get better. This month my JUJ are the two pairs of sandals I purchased at the end of December.

Sorry! I actually won’t be playing with color in this look. I told you guys I can’t get enough of my neutral tones and I meant that. They’re just so easy and work with every possible outfit. How could you not love them, and want to hug them, and snuggle with them? I wanted to throw something on that matched the sentiments of the weather. Black and grey are the best set of colors to achieve that.
It’s Friday, it’s Friday! Whether your Friday night lights consist of the ones that dart around the room in a club; the dim lights in a restaurant; or the lights from your TV… It’s Friday nonetheless and that calls for some celebration. Friday’s just give me an immediate peace of mind. Whatever stress has been building up from the week just seems to evaporate once the clock strikes 12am. My Friday night lights usually consist of heading out to grab a late dinner, studying, going out dancing, or sitting at home glued to a TV screen trying to catch up on Shades of Blue. There’s no in between for me. Tonight I’m headed out for dinner with friends!
Dressing for success is always key when trying to present the best version of yourself in a new environment. Whether it’s for a job interview, a potential business venture, or simply because you want to look your best: Dressing for success is always beneficial. Our world is highly based on appearance and not so much what you can prove you’re capable of after the fact. Sucks, but that’s the reality of this generation. You do have to keep in mind that in order to achieve this, dressing appropriately is necessary. If you’re a fashion enthusiast like myself, you want to incorporate that into everything you wear. Doing this fortunately is very achievable!
This Winter season I have loved substituting loud colors for neutrals and blush tones. Year round I actually like having some form of neutral worked into my outfit, so being able to do that during this season has been perfect. Neutral always looks good. I believe it compliments any body type and implementing it into an outfit could never be a wrong move. Grey is also a really great neutral color that I find I have a lot of. Today heading to church was a bit chilly, so throwing on this Belted Waterfall Coat from Missguided was definitely necessary.
