REBELLING AGAINST THE COLD IN MISSGUIDED

rebel

HELLO Monday.

It’s the start of another new week, but this week just might be the best one yet. Why you may ask? Because at the end of this one it’ll be…

SPRING BREAK! Hey now! I am so freaking excited to rebel by kicking back during the day (and kinda studying), sip on margs at night with great friends, and lollygag for the time between.

So you can imagine, I’m clearly excited to start this week. I’m going to kick this week’s ass with a bunch of productivity, resourcefulness, and drive.

Today is going to be a great freaking day.

Say it with me y’all. We’re kicking ass today, you better believe it.

SPRING IS THAT YOU?

spring

I have been dying to run out the house in a mini loose dress and run wild. Omg.

I’m talking house on the prairie vibes; running through a field and not caring who’s looking feels.

Either the weather hasn’t been right, finding the right ‘House on the Prairie vibes’ field has proven difficult, OR shaving my legs has not been a priority and they’ve been too beastly to make an appearance… Hey! I’m just being honest. Now that spring is fastly approaching however, I’m trying to kick my ass into gear (and my wildebeest legs) and shape up.

I don’t know about you babes, but I like to re-organize my closet and essentially refresh for each new season. I enjoy throwing things together by bringing life back to what others may consider old and worn, purchasing a few new key items for that particular season:

Think loose mini dresses, light washed denim, over the shoulder tops, chokers, and easy on the go sandals or tennies.

AND say adios to what just isn’t working anymore. I mean, they don’t call it spring cleaning for nothin’.

JUMPIN’ INTO JUMPSUITS

jumpsuit

HOWDY.

Long time no talk. Eek.

I feel  like I either come on here bouncing around about it being almost the weekend, or that the weather is up to my standards. Today however, I’m bouncing around because I got to sleep iiiiiiiiin. Omg. You have no idea how hard I’m beaming over here wtf.

Sleeping in for me is a big deal because I NEVER get to do it. Not even on weekends. I’m always studying for something: taking notes for that class, and doing writing assignments for the next class… #nursingschoolLIFE. Needless to say, every morning is a ‘ugh it’s morning again’ time to put the pedal extra hard to the medal and get going.

This morning however, I’m feeling super energized and ready to jump into school and maybe a jumpsuit or two for this upcoming spring-ish weather.

HOW TO ACHIEVE CASUAL WEEKEND STYLE

casual weekend style

RAISE YOUR GLASSES BABY LOVES.

The weekend’s here and it’s time to get wild. Well not really, but kinda..

For all the plans you may or may not have, having the perfect outfit just incase is definitely a MUST. Whether you’re going on another weekend date with your SO (significant other), grabbing a quick bite to eat by your lonesome, hanging with the girls, or coffee shop chilling — killing it casual style is always a great idea. For me, casual weekend style is all about looking fly; being comfy; and giving chic realness all at the same damn time.

BACK TO BLACK

It’s Fridaaaaaaaaaay babes! HOOOOLLA.

You can find me celebrating the weekend snagging a bite to eat, sippin’ on a marg or two, then heading back to bed for some Netflix adventures tonight (legit my faaave place to be). I’m just not a big go out all the time kind of gal, really.

Though my weekend officially starts on Thursday afternoon, it doesn’t take away from the excitement I feel when I pick up my phone and the lock screen says ‘Friday, the whatever’. I feel like a total badass (more on this in a bit) every week because I’ve conquered all the shit the week throws at me, and I’ve come out on top. I am in school, so weekends definitely aren’t what they used to be, but there’s something about just knowing that I am setting my own pace for these three days — and NOT my university.
