It’s been a loong time, looooong time comin’ and I knoooow change gone come.
If you watched Daddy’s Little Girls then you know exactly where that’s from. I figured the song was more than appropriate for today’s post. After all, it’s been a loooong time since I got braids, but change sure has come around. 10 freaking years if we’re being specific. Have you ever considered how much power our words hold? For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been told that there is power in speaking things into existence. In recent years, those words have never held a truer and yet personal meaning.
Have you ever just met someone and y’all just clicked? I’m talking, talk for minutes to hours about any and everything. They get you in a way most people don’t. There’s just an instant connection, you know? You can be raw and unfiltered with the understanding that doing so with them is safe.
