I think I can speak for myself and a few others when I say – though possible af, budgeting isn’t always the easiest. Sometimes a guidebook or budgeting for dummies is needed. It’s something that takes discipline, determination, and the ability to visualize a goal not actualized yet. AND hold on to it. Not without the flashy pretty things in life tempting you every step of the way, of course. They then practically scream or in my case quietly chant, “Buy me. Buy me. You need me.” LOL.
Some of us have been blessed to find our equals early on in life. I’m talking high school (or as early as middle school), so you have never had to date. We’re not taught this and we should be. Talking yourself off a ledge that is. We should be taught that when we’re too close to the edge, taking a step back is vital. That we need to save ourselves from the doom that awaits us when we step off the ledge. The pain that will surely be ours if we don’t take a second to think, to breathe. Why aren’t we taught this at an early age? Instead we are taught “survival skills”. I’m talking every possible way to survive when there’s a shortage of food, water, or shelter.
