HOW TO GET MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK: NORDSTROM RACK

YO.

You guys it’s Friday, it’s Friday — though I’m not exactly sure why I’m jumping for joy. Do you guys remember early in the spring when I used to talk about my love for Fridays?! I blabbed on and on about how my weekend starts on Thursday, how amazing my school schedule was, and so forth.

Welp, that has since changed.

Drastically.

No longer am I completely enjoying the pleasantries the weekend has to bring. My school week now doesn’t officially start till Thursday (insert major eye roll here). I couldn’t be more excited (dripping in sarcasm).

However, despite my annoyance for this and how ready I am for this semester to be over, I won’t do it. I will not go off on a tangent about how much my schedule irks my soul (lord knows I’m itching to).

Even though I may have just sort of gone off on a tangent. Forgive me?

Anyway.

Keep reading for, How to Get More Bang for Your Buck at Nordstrom Rack.

I’ve come to fall for Nordstrom Rack heavily in the past couple of months. To be honest, I’ve always known it was around, but never made the effort to fall in love.

I mean I’d go there once in awhile when I needed a nice dress for an event, but never to shop just to shop. However, that all changed when I bought this dress a few months ago. I was shopping ahead of time looking for pieces for fall to transition my wardrobe. I stopped into Nordstrom Rack by divine intervention. When I tell you guys I found so many options, saying no to a few dresses almost made me cry… I mean it.

Everything was so good.

This dress was one of the few, I couldn’t leave behind. The material was so smooth on (aka comfy af), the colors were perfect for everything I hoped my fall wardrobe to be, and it was minimalistic overall.

Did I also mention this dress was also ONLY $24 and some change?!?!?!?!

The thing with Nordstrom Rack is that when you’re on a broke “college student budget” like me, getting more bang for your buck is uber importante.

After such a successful shopping trip, here are some tips to get more bang for your buck the next time you visit Nordstrom Rack.

1. Start with the clearance section. This is a must for me because sometimes the most amazing pieces are on clearance, either because people are into the style or because people just don’t know the worth. Go get your dress babe and pay a minimal amount of $$$ for it!

2. Get everything you think you like all at once! Don’t make multiple trips in and out of the dressing room. This is really important to touch on! Nordstrom Rack can get pretty overwhelming because it’s so dang big. Sheesh. Shopping can be exhausting and the moment you tire yourself out, the moment you stop trying to get more bang for your buck and settle on anything. Even if it’s $75 dress. College girl budget remember?

3. Ask yourself for each piece you pick up — “Could I potentially wear this more than once, is it versatile? I’m pretty sure when you look up bang for your buck, the word versatility is right next to it. The best way to get more bang for your buck is to ensure that everything you purchase is versatile and doesn’t become a reject after wearing it once. Granted you will always have pieces that are for special occassions that wearing once is an appropriate action, BUT. Not everything in your closet should fall under that quiet code. Versatility is key. In addition, to super cute clothing as well!

What do you babes think?

I hope this eases your anxiety about Nordstrom Rack and helps you realize getting more bang for your buck is not only possible, but attainable.

Off to call a friend and do a tiny bit more complaining about my fall schedule LOL.

Ttyl,

Thelms xx
