YO.
I’m finally getting back into the swing of things, including blogging since my kind of wild weekend. I know it’s Wednesday, but I’m not used to drinking or getting hammered three nights in a row. To be honest, if you’re someone who knows me pretty well, you know that I don’t do the whole ‘getting wild af‘ often. Pretty much never, but my girls dragged me out so I became down for the cause pretty quickly.
I wish I had saved all the instastories and snaps, to upload somewhere for you babes to check out (because we had such a good time). BUT. I was too busy recovering and all, only to do it again night after night to think that far ahead.
Overall, it was a pretty great weekend — drinking, dancing, and dodging loser boys… you know the usual girl’s night out spiel.
Anyway.
For the first night on the town, I thought about wearing this set from Pretty Little Thing, but at the last minute opted for another LBD instead (a back out action that had all the boys swooning, thanks to Forever 21).
I know what you’re thinking, another black number. I told you guys though, I can’t help myself. The color black is just too freaking good.
Although, I ended up wearing the dress, this look could have easily served the purpose of an all black ensemble as well. I’d just switch out the strappy sandals for a chunky heel to make it mesh with night life better.
There’s so many things I love about this look.
For starters, it looks like a set but they were definitely sold separately. Don’t get me wrong though. I love a good ready to go outfit, but I like making separates become one a lot more.
The detailing of the top speaks to my soul. It’s so minimal in the frilliness of it, giving it that soft feministic touch that I love so much. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s off the shoulder as well. I’ve been liiiiiiiiving in off the shoulder dresses and tops, so naturally I lost my shit when I found the top was.
Now the pants… boy oh boy. Proooobs one of my fave purchases of the summer. A bold statement I know because it’s only the first week of June, but here’s why. These pants are SO DANG COMFY omg. Y’all know how I feel about comfort and these bad boys hit it out of the park. Though I won’t be, I could sleeeeep in these babies they’re so comfortable. Besides comfort, I love that they’re high waisted and snug, so I still get the sensual/feminine look I’m always going for.
How’s that for another black number? Hehehe.
So what do you babes’ think? Another black number for the win or whaaaat? I think so.
However because I’ve been featuring soooo much black lately, I’ll do my best to break it up a little. No promises though lol.
Catch ya’ on the flip,
Thelms xx
