8 Apps I Can’t Live Without

Let’s face it. We all hold our phones to a certain level of love and attention that some researchers may call “unhealthy”.

Is it though? I mean yes obviously. But speaking generally first. I’d like to think that our phones hold the answers to so much that to not hold it so near and dear to ourselves would be suicide on all fronts. I’m talking not knowing where to be, who you’re supposed to be there with, professional and social commitments, personal appointments, the ability to quick pay… I mean must I continue?

The big gist of this all is that yes. Our phones are our lives, but rightfully so.

They are in fact the key to 99% of the world’s functionality.

Now as far as phone obsessions go, there are 8 specific apps on my phone that are especially vital to said functionality. Y’all if I didn’t have them… whew. I just got chills thinking about what I would do if I didn’t have them and buddy… The flash of an image my mind just painted for me? NOT PRETTY.

Jumping right on in…

+ Alarmed: this is the beginning, middle, and end of, when it comes to my life. It’s the perfect reminder app. You guys I actually discovered this app because of my mom while I was in Denton for school and omg. This has saved my life a time or two. If you don’t know, I’m kinda psycho when it comes to making checklists for my everyday life — more or less. I need structure and this app provides that and so much more. I am always aware of commitments, appointments, everyday tasks to complete, reminders, etc.

+ Notes: If you have an iPhone this app already comes programmed in! Lucky us. It makes jotting down quick thoughts so freaking easy. Whether I’m using the app to write a blog post (as I’m doing right at this moment lol), visualize a concept for a venture, or writing poetry — this app is my saving grace.

+ Planoly: remember how I said I’m a bit psycho when it comes to structure? Weeeell, that applies to almost every part of my life including my instagram, @withlovethelms. This app does wonders for helping me create and stick to a feed that is cohesive; both visually and textually.

+ Instagram: I’m pretty sure this goes without saying, but I’ll mention it for mentions sake. Could I live without instagram? Sure. Do I want to? Nope. It’s my favorite way to connect with literally everyone. I’m able to see what my best girlfriends are up to, family members, celebrities that I admire, and most importantly all of you guys; my With Love, Thelms peeps. It plays a huge role in pushing my site to new people both close to home and ways away from me.

+ Flo: This is personal, but for my ladies specifically. I was never one to track my menstrual cycle until recently and boy has it been a game changer. It’s so important especially as women to be aware of what’s going on with your body during, what I so fondly refer to as the “reoccurring red wedding” This app does a great job of analyzing why we’re sorta up and down during our cycle + everything that being on your cycle entails.

+ Nook Book: I’m almost positive I’ve mentioned how much I love reading! Oh wait. I definitely have. I wrote a whole poetry piece about it which you babes can check out “here” for reference. Anyway. I love to read so downloading books to my app and being able to read them wherever I’m at is AMAAAZEBALLS. Nuff said.

+ Canva: This app makes creating blog graphics and promotional information so damn easy. There are so many templates to choose from no matter the category of work you’re wanting to create and I love this app because of it.

+ Cash App: Our world is so dang digital now that writing someone a check or going to someone to personally pay off a debt can be challenging at times. This app speeds up the process of payment by a ton and it is pretty damn vital to my existence lol.

That just about sums up the apps I can’t live without! Of course I have others apps that I utilize for other things, but I’d like to think I’d be just fine if I didn’t have them on my phone for a little bit. I won’t get carried away and say forever because that would just be wildly restrictive right? LOL.

If I missed any of your faves, let me know in the comments below! I’m always on the hunt for life saving apps that will lessen the amount of space on my phone but increase my functionality level to new heights.
