Good morning babes!
Happy Thursday aka TGIT for all my Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder lovers. If you babes keep up with me on instagram, you know I’ve been struggling with finding inspiration as of late. I’m not sure why (I honestly think every blogger goes through this at some point), but I’m working through it.
Well scratch that.
I honestly believe my lack of inspiration comes from running myself ragged when it comes to school these past few weeks. With finals coming up and the semester coming to an end, I’ve been dealing with the added pressure of tons of deadlines. In addition to school deadlines, I’ve been trying to squeeze in study time as well. These things have left no room for my creative side to run wild and has instead forced it to be trapped within me.
Woah.
Dr. Phil are you hearing this? I think I just became my own certified therapist. Talk about working through an issue! Ha.
SO, in the spirit of working through it I’m back with a new post on le’ blog.
Keep reading for, 7 WAYS TO LIVE A MORE FULFILLING LIFE + outfit details on this look!
1. BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR WORDS & ACTIONS
It’s important in life to take responsibility for the things you say and what you do. Sometimes, it’s very easy to throw things out there and worry about the consequences later, but that’s not the way to live. As an adult our words are everything in addition to our actions. Throwing them out carelessly without thought will guarantee you a first class ticket on the regret plane. Trust me!
2. FIND A PURPOSE & STICK WITH IT
The true key to living a more fulfilled life is having some form of purpose or reason. Having one will ensure that when everything’s said and done, you won’t be left constantly questioning yourself. A purpose keeps you productive, passionate, and on top of the ball with little time for regret. So tell me, do you have a purpose?
3. GET RID OF HATE
You guys this is a big one for me. Hate is draining and effort wasted when you could be accomplishing something much worthier. Personally, I never understood the point of hating someone. Life is way too damn short to be grounding yourself in hatred for the guy that cheated on you and broke your heart, or the friend that stole your man. As cliche as it sounds, MOVE ON. Don’t waste precious seconds, minutes, and hours of your life hating someone who most likely isn’t giving you a second thought… or third.
4. FORGIVE YOURSELF & FORGIVE THEM
This goes hand in hand with ridding yourself of hatred. The truth of the matter is we’re all mere mortals and are bound to make mistakes from time to time. Some unfortunately more than others. However, holding on to anger or unwillingness to forgive puts our spirits in a tough spot. Inadvertently, we hurt ourselves in the long run by choosing to not forgive. Many people don’t realize that when you choose to not forgive, you’re still giving that issue life and room to take up space within your heart & mind. So just forgive. The faster you do so, the quicker you can free up space for more positive feelings… like love.
5. TAKE WHAT YOU CAN FROM LIFE, BUT ALWAYS GIVE BACK
This right here is just down right good for the soul. Though it’s important to take what you can from life, so that you can live your best life; it’s also important to give back when you can. Fulfillment can come from doing service for those in need or those less fortunate than you might be.
6. KEEP THE FAMILY CLOSE
Drake said it best y’all. The easiest way to find unconditional love and happiness free of restraints is from your family and close friends. It’s important to be grounded in that type of love than worldly things like money and materialistic possessions. There will always be time to “get to the money”, but time with your family is priceless. Remember that and keep them close always.
7. NO REGRETS, OKAY?
With all that being said, this last way to live a more fulfilling life should be easy! If you follow these steps, hopefully you will have no regrets and live your life to fullest.
So this look.
After browsing the web for what seemed like hoooours, I found this gem and it was practically calling my name. I snagged it because I knew it would be perfect to take birthday photos in a few weeks back + it was just super cute.
The cold shoulder detailed screamed feminine, the fit quietly announced comfort, and the appearance whispered minimalistic.
Obvi, I had to have it.
I finished off the look with my latest and favorite purse from Aldo.
P.S. Can we get into how overly cute the purse is, faux fur and all?!
There you have it babes, 7 WAYS TO LIVE A MORE FULFILLING LIFE!
In a mad dash to wrap this post up and head out the door to the first of many finals in the upcoming weeks.
Wish me luck!
Thelms xx.
